A Message from our President
Happy Summer, everyone! The heat is definitely ‘on’ in New Hampshire right now.
I hope everyone had a safe and great Fourth of July celebration and got time to relax a bit and spend time with family and loved ones. The summer is one of the busiest seasons for our builder members as they work hard to get new housing units online for as many consumers as possible. You know that we have a big backlog of needed units and we are grateful for all that our builders do to try and solve the housing crunch we have here.
The Legislature, thankfully, is not in session...😊. Many are back in their districts working on getting re-elected. Please take some time to get familiar with the candidates in your home district and see where they stand on key issues for our industry. If you need any help with this, I am sure that our great state staff can get you information to make an informed decision. The Government Affairs Committee worked very hard this past cycle to get some good bills passed and stop some bad ideas from becoming law. The mission is never over and the biggest way you can help is to make sure you voice is heard: vote for those legislators who are Pro-Builder!
While July is a ‘quiet’ month for activities from our organization, it doesn’t mean that your board is not hard at work for you. We will be meeting this month in order to plan out next year’s calendar and work on forming Committees for the rest of this year’s activities. We are honored to serve you. If you have the itch to get involved, reach out to me. I’d be excited to hear from you. We have a great board and awesome committees that could always use more help.

August brings you a super fun and really great opportunity in our first Harbor Cruise with the Isles of Shoals Steamship Company in Portsmouth. This member appreciation event features a lot of great stuff: dinner buffet, cash bar, great networking, free on-site parking, music, and more!
The Committee worked very hard to get sponsorships in order to keep the cost of this wonderful event down: only $50 a ticket! We are grateful to our sponsors who made this possible: Atlantic Builders Supply, Belletetes, Lansing Building Products, James Hardie, and Messina’s Flooring.
This is a great opportunity to share with your teams so bring them along, but hurry: the boat will fill up as seating is limited.
