A Message from our President

Happy Fall, everyone! I don’t know about you, but I love the cool mornings and warm days. In the interest of full disclosure though, I am not a “PSL” person. Something new I learned from my teenagers: Pumpkin Spice Latte. Pumpkin muffins are okay though.

By the time you read this, we will have completed our Fall Golf Tournament that was held at the Windham Country Club. We had 30 teams and a gorgeous day for golf. My congratulations to all the winners. Thank you to our wonderful sponsors -without you, our success is not possible. And my thank you to Lynette Rogers and Travis Terry, our event Committee Co-Chairs, as well as their volunteers.

At the State Level, your Government Affairs Committee will be back to work the week of the 16th as the state primaries will be over and the legislative agenda for those returning to Concord will be back in full swing and will start taking shape. Government Affairs tracks all the legislation that has any impact on our industry. We support good bills and work hard to defeat bad bills. We defeated the Green Energy Tax last session, with your help, and we’ll be ready to do it again if necessary.

October brings our event at the Barnyard in Candia. We are excited to introduce our Board of Directors for next year to you. We will have a Special Guest to swear in the new Board. We are excited to see many returning faces as well as some new ones. Many hands make for light lifting and we are excited to serve you in the year ahead. We will also be reaching out to you, our members, to bring some new faces and new energy to our many committees that make the year’s events possible. We hope you have some time to help make our organization even better. Thanks to Waterstone Mortgage and LG for sponsoring the October 2nd event.

In November, we will be at the Backyard Brewery in Manchester to hear from our special sponsors EOS Worldwide, MacKenzie Fuels as well as from Drew Kline of the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy. Drew is going to talk to us about the year ahead in New Hampshire. It’s the day after Election Day (don’t forget to vote and vote Pro Builder!), so we should know the makeup of our state offices. This will tell us what to expect from the Legislature and how our economy will react: all things we need to know to plan for our businesses in 2025. You won’t want to miss out on this great talk.

In December, we will be at the beautiful Atkinson Country Club for our Annual Holiday Party and Silent Auction. This amazing committee of volunteers, headed by Lynette Rogers, will begin planning soon for another banner event. This is a great opportunity for you to bring your teams and celebrate a great year for you and for our organization. If you would like to be a part of the best party of the year, please reach out to Lynette or our Executive Officer, Lisa Bowman. We would love to have you on the team.

As always, your Board of Directors is honored to serve you. Thank you for your membership and your continued support and involvement in our organization. We are grateful for you.
