A Message from our President

We are in the throws of the time that we call the “Dog Days of Summer:” long, hot days with lots of humidity. Great for growing crops and building new homes! I know our Builder Members are in full swing taking advantage of the heat and the mostly good weather to get a lot of houses well underway. One hundred twenty of us did take an evening off on the 7th for a Portsmouth Harbor Cruise for our Member Appreciation Event. The food was terrific and the weather was absolutely stunning. A huge THANK YOU to Lynette Rogers and Alison Milioto, two of our awesome Board Members, who were the Committee for this fun-filled event. The caterers and the crew were top notch. And thanks to our many sponsors Atlantic Builders Supply, Belletete’s, Ed O’s, Lansing Building Products, James Hardie, Messina’s Flooring and Timberline Enterprises, LLC whose generosity kept tickets prices very low. A great time was had by all. I can’t wait to see what we have planned for next year!

Before I get ahead of myself thinking about 2025, there is still so much great programming this year starting with our Fall Golf Tournament at the Windham Country Club on September 10th. This four-person, best ball scramble is going to be truly great. There are several contest holes as well. The food at the Club is amazing and the course was so beautiful last year. They have a dedicated, professional staff who really make sure that we all have a great day on the links. There are some player spots left as well as some sponsorship opportunities left, but I wouldn’t delay. Just like our Spring Tournament, this event will sell out. Reach out to Lisa or a member of the Fall Golf Committee to reserve your spots today!

October has us at the Barnyard in Candia again this year for our Board Installation. We hope you can make it to this great event. We’ll have a super special guest coming to swear in our new board. Please come and meet them and cheer them on. I can say, without a doubt, that this board works super hard for our membership and we are grateful to serve you. Thanks for your support!

In November, we’ll be meeting in Manchester at the Backyard Brewery and we have some special speakers who are going to give us a “State of the Economy” talk so we can start planning our 2025’s. There are a lot of moving parts to our economy and we are grateful to have experts come and share what they know to help us be successful.

And we will close out the calendar year with our Annual Silent Auction-Holiday Social & toy Drive at the always beautiful Atkinson Country Club. Much more to follow on this and our other great events.
