A Message from your President...
August flew by and summer is almost over! Thank you to everyone who came out for our 8th Angels Annual Baseball Night. It was a blast as always. I am proud to say that we had a very successful New & Perspective Member Happy Hour with our Board. These exclusive events are always a great way to get our New Members more involved in our great association. We still have a few major events coming up, so make sure you are staying up to date on all of the BIAOC fun. I hope everyone has a safe Labor Day Weekend!

BIA/OC was in Anaheim this month to speak at Planning Commission on the extreme costs that high parking standards inflict on housing. While the city is striving to create more affordable housing options, it is also investigating increases to parking requirements that will further push housing attainment out of reach for those most in need...
In July, the Government Affairs Committee heard from the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) on the 6th Cycle of the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) currently underway. On August 22nd, SCAG held a public hearing at Irvine City Hall to further expand on the briefing provided to the Government Affairs Committee and outline three alternative methods for the distribution of housing in the coming years...
