Join Cathedral for BLINK
Christ Church Cathedral will be marching in Cincinnati's BLINK parade on Thursday, October 10, and we want you to join us! All ages are welcome. Parade volunteers will be carrying lightweight, lighted houses (weighing ~3 lbs.), similar in style to those represented in the new art installation, Windy Street, on the cathedral’s Fourth Street facade. The art piece depicts people of varying nationalities and ages carrying fragile paper-like homes above their heads.
More than 2,000 participants, including artists, arts and cultural organizations, schools and community groups will join together with illuminated costumes, puppets, floats, performances, musical instruments and more as they celebrate their way south on Vine Street from Ninth Street to Freedom Way at The Banks. Volunteers will need to be able to walk the entire route.
