WHO WE ARE

About the Office of Veterans Support

In March of 2022, the Long Beach Veterans Commission presented a Veterans Strategic Plan to City Council. The plan recommended that a new Office of Veterans Support (OVS) be established to plan, oversee and manage the City’s efforts to uplift and support Veterans in alignment with the goals, objectives and strategies identified in the strategic plan. Council approved the new Office of Veterans Support, which commenced operations on October 1, 2022, with one full-time staff person.
