Hi :

Jeremy here from LPS Athletic. We are all overwhelmed with the generous donations (to support Maya to the Olympics) at the LPS Championships at Cedar Brae Golf Club.

Please find below a video of Maya Laylor’s Gold medal winning lifts at the 2022 Commonwealth Games last week (published by CBC).

To let you know, at last Thursday’s LPS Championship event at Cedar Brae GC, The GTA AM Tour Community opened their hearts and wallets:

$1730 in cash donations
$1450 in online donations
$720 in personal donations (for all the birdies made)

With a total of: $3,900!

As Mark mentioned on the first tee… Maya was one of a few athletes in Canada to be scouted by Government of Canada-run ‘Own the Podium’ program. As an athlete who has a high chance of bringing home a medal for Canada at the 2024 Olympics, Maya was selected to receive a very small amount of funding.

However, it requires a lot more support to become the worlds’ best.

If you haven’t donated yet, and feel inclined to support her journey to bring home a gold medal for Canada, please find below the online donation link:

Your generous donation will allow Maya to continue training full-time, 2-3 times a day, 6-7 days a week. It will also help with her recovery treatments, training camps, nutrition, equipment, accommodation, and travel expenses for both national and international competitions leading up to the 2024 Olympics.

Everyone who donates will receive a ballot for a draw for a 6-week intensive training program (value: $1500) at LPS. This program will be designed by Master Coach Clance Laylor and will help you get on the right track for the 2022/2023 off-season.

From the entire LPS Athletic team, we thank you for taking the time to learn how we build average joes into strong and injury-free GTA AM Tour competitors along with professional and Olympic athletes.

We would also like to thank you for your AMAZING Community-driven support of and contribution to Maya’s Olympic goal of a Gold Medal!
