SHABBAT MORNING SERVICES
this Saturday, May 21st, 20 Iyar 5782
10:00 a.m.

This Shabbat morning you are welcome to join us for in person services. We appreciate your RSVP ahead of time. For those joining via Zoom, please note that we will no longer be screen sharing slides during the service. Also, the Zoom link will only be sent to those who have requested it in advance.

  • Masks are now optional for all vaccinated individuals. We will continue to have masks available and encourage individuals to do what is most comfortable.
  •  During services, several rows in the front of the sanctuary will be reserved for congregants and potential new members who wish to wear masks.
  • The reserved rows are for those who feel safer sitting next to other mask wearers. Otherwise, mask wearers may sit anywhere in the sanctuary.
  • A Zoom link will be sent to members who cannot attend in person but wish to participate. Please request this link no later than Thursday.

May birthdays and anniversaries will be celebrated during Shabbat services.

There is not a Kabbalat Shabbat service this Friday night but we are providing you with candle lighting time for our Arizona time zone.
Light Shabbat candles at 7:07 p.m.

Erica and Jared Erman's videos for Shabbat candle lighting, Kiddush, and Motzi

Thank you to Erica and Jared for welcoming us in their home. Erica mentions some of the reasons we have two loaves of challah on Shabbat, to which we add that there are two commandments regarding Shabbat in the Torah: Shamor (Keep Shabbat) and Zachor (Remember Shabbat).

We hear these in L'cha Dodi, too, when we learn that these two commandments were given in one breath!
