WRA Workforce Housing Initiative Underway

The Wisconsin REALTORS Association (WRA) joined legislative leaders at a press conference announcing strategic efforts to curb the state’s out-of-control housing shortage. With increasing construction costs, an antiquated regulatory atmosphere, and a severe shortage of affordable housing, these bills have been introduced to make a difference in the lives of average Wisconsinites.

GMAR YOUTH FOUNDATION GRANT RECIPIENTS
Since 1959 the Youth Foundation, Inc. has awarded millions of dollars in grants to local organizations. All of the awards create a positive impact for our area’s children and youth.
 
The GMAR Youth Foundation, four times each year, awards money to youth programs in Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Washington Counties in the areas of arts and culture, social services, and education. These grants are awarded on behalf of GMAR Members.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL SCHEDULE

Thank you for your membership with the Greater Milwaukee Association of REALTORS® this past year.
 
As of September 1st, you may pay your dues online. Click here for instructions.
To continue your membership with the GMAR, WRA & NAR, and to avoid any interruption in service, please note the following payment deadlines:

  • Pay by October 31, 2021 - You can DEDUCT $25 from the total on your invoice
  • Between November 1 and 30, 2021 - Please pay the total shown on your invoice
  • Between December 1 and 31, 2021 - Please ADD $50 to the total shown on your invoice
  • After January 1, 2022 - We must treat you as a new member, please ADD $225 to the total on your invoice (if you are a REALTOR® member) or $345 (if you are a Designated REALTOR® member).
 
In 2022 we will continue to pursue our mission of "Helping our members help their clients," through our core services of government affairs, professional standards, and MLS services.

What Have Your RPAC Dollars Accomplished So Far This Year?
This summer, Gov. Evers and the Wisconsin legislature approved $225 million for broadband expansion in Wisconsin — the largest appropriation for broadband expansion in state history. This funding will generate huge improvements that will connect Wisconsin residents and businesses all across the state.

Thanks to your contributions to the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC), the WRA and RPAC helped to pave the way for improved broadband access in Wisconsin.

MILWAUKEE HOMELESS VETERANS NEED OUR HELP
The Greater Milwaukee Association will once again be holding a coat drive for the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative (MHVI). New or used clean coats for men, women, and children are needed. New hats, gloves, and socks will also be accepted.
