Governor Evers' Stay-at-Home Order
Today Governor Evers and the State Department of Health Services issued a Safer at Home Order imploring all Wisconsinites to stay home, except those engaging in “Essential Activities.”

The order goes into effect tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25 th at 8:00 AM, through Friday, April 24 th at 8:00 AM.

What the Order Says
Real estate, and affiliated businesses, are allowed to continue operating under the “Essential Businesses and Operations” section of the Safer at Home Order.

Section 13. u. of the order states:
u. Professional services. Professional services, such as legal or accounting
services, insurance services, real estate services (including appraisal,
home inspection, and title services). These services shall, to the greatest
extent possible, use technology to avoid meeting in person, including
virtual meetings, teleconference, and remote work (i.e., work from
home).
 
The order also allows the building trades (carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, moving and relocation services, etc.), construction (essential business and housing), lending (banks and credit unions), and property management businesses to operate.
 
REALTORS® are not required to provide services during the executive order. However, if you do, you must continue to maintain social distancing, take reasonable health and safety measures, and follow other public health recommendations issued by the State Department of Health Services and U.S. Centers for Disease Control .
