SWIFT Professional Development
A group of alternative education leadership at a training event
Orange County (CA) Alternative, Community, and Correctional Education Schools and Services (ACCESS) executive leadership and area teams have been working with SWIFT to design the next evolution of MTSS for alternative education systems. Assistant Superintendent for Alternative Education Laura Strachan explained, “We knew we wanted to bring MTSS into our context in a way that would meet the unique needs of our student population. Our partnership with SWIFT provided a process for us to define what MTSS looks like in alternative education. Now we are increasing our leadership capacities to implement it.”
