Learning Series Partners

This summer SWIFT Education Center began partnerships with four school districts that will participate in an Equity Leadership Learning Series as part of a research grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Selected principals and their school leadership teams in Cumberland County Schools, North Carolina, Guilford County Schools, North Carolina, San Diego Unified School District, California, and Teton County School District #1, Wyoming will enhance their leadership capacities as they transform school culture and systems to provide an equitable learning environment where all students can thrive. Check out the great ideas offered by CA Rural Ed Network, whose focus on what is unique and positive about rural education. They provide resources to rural educators that can increase opportunities for California’s rural students, schools, and communities.

We believe any school can invite and welcome each and every student in its community into a system of teaching and learning that is fluid, responsive, dynamic and alive, and that uses all available resources to meet student needs. Dr. Amy McCart and Dr. Dawn Miller's new book, Leading Equity-Based MTSS for All Students, guides readers through a process for becoming this kind of school.
