Long Beach Unemployment Rate Drops to Lowest Point in Nearly 30 Years
|

After reaching incredible unemployment numbers in May 2017 (4.4 percent), the City of Long Beach continued the trend in May 2018, dropping to 4.1 percent, a 10.5 percent drop in the last eight years. There are now a record 230,000 employed residents in the City.
“Long Beach is experiencing unprecedented economic growth from one end of the city to the other,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “Billions are being invested in new housing, commercial centers, and public infrastructure. Our local economy is booming.”

Meet Our Latest Kiva Borrower, Tanai!

Tanai Holder is the owner and operator of Dopeness Divine. As a certified Reiki Master and Life Coach, she finds joy in helping others tune into their own spiritual path and purpose. Little Brass Café Express Celebrates Grand Opening at Long Beach Airport

Long Beach Airport Historic Terminal is home to a new café! Earlier today, Little Brass Café Express (LBCX) held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its grand opening at Long Beach Airport (LGB). Little Brass Café Express is the only eatery in the Airport’s historic terminal.
“It’s so great to see a local business come to life in such a historic location,” said Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia. “Small businesses are the engine that drive our local economy, and we’re proud of all the restaurants that contribute to the relaxing, Southern California travel experience at LGB.”
