Cannabis Equity Employment Registry
Are you over 21 years of age and interested in working in the Cannabis industry? The City of Long Beach has established a Cannabis Equity Employment Registry that ALL cannabis-related businesses MUST use to fill 40% of their annual payroll hours. To see if you qualify to be placed on the registry, attend a Cannabis Equity Employment Information Session. Sessions every Wednesday at 10 AM.

Hate Free Los Angeles County
The Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations released its 2018 Hate Crime Report. There were 521 hate crimes reported in Los Angeles County last year, the largest number since 2009. Hate crimes have risen 36% during the past five years. Hate crimes have targeted the four largest victim groups; (African Americans, gays, lesbians, Jews, and Latinos) all increased.

The Well-Being In the Nation (WIN) Measurement Framework offers a set of common measures to assess and improve population and community health and well-being. Developed by over 100 organizations and communities working together across sectors, these core measures are organized around well-being of people, well-being of place and equity

By dialing 2-1-1, you can now file a report as a victim, witness, or advocate for a victim of hate crimes, hate acts, or bullying as a part of a new Anti-Hate Campaign that launched September 1st. Be the change you want to see!
