Harvest has drawn to a close in Piedmont. The grapes are now fermenting, and the forests have surrendered their treasures—black truffles and the elusive white gems, white truffles, so prized this time of year. How we wish we could be there, savoring the region’s glorious food and wine firsthand.
In that spirit, we’ve partnered with Catalyst to recreate the dinner we might have enjoyed in Piedmont itself. Both the wines and the coveted white truffles will grace the table, beautifully complementing Chef William Kovel’s inspired renditions of traditional Piemontese harvest dishes.
Expect Sparkling Nebbiolo Riserva, Reserve Barbera, Barolo, and Barbaresco, paired with white truffles, roast boar, beef strip, and oxtail—an unforgettable dinner that’s truly the next best thing to being there.
As an added treat, wines will be presented by Nathan Greenspan, our knowledgeable importer, with only brief (but lively) interjections from Bob Zohn and myself.
