May/June 2020
Art has a special meaning in the home these days. Our homes have become a nest, a place we are all becoming reacquainted with.

Now working in my home studio after closing the gallery, I am finding solace, discovering beauty in a new way. With a strong desire to create beauty all around me, I have spent time creating a more inviting environment to work and live in.

What is very special to me, is the number of collectors who are doing the same, and are continuing to bring my art into their homes, for "that wall that we've always been meaning to do something with". People are recognizing that art brings relaxation and beauty—essential to our well-being.

Art heals in mysterious ways. Please join me below in this exploration of a new chapter in all of our lives.

My new studio...
Offering a more personal experience for interested collectors, I have created an appointment-only studio that is close to downtown Nevada City, CA. After unpacking, purging and organizing, I tried to create a spacious feel out of a very tiny studio. By installing a sleek hanging system (to avoid holes in the walls), art was hung, supplies were organized, and I cleared the way for a small but efficient working studio/gallery. Come take a peek...
Art to new homes
I am pleasantly surprised that collectors are still finding me after closing the gallery. I feel so fortunate to have the paintings below grace the beautiful homes where they now reside.
My paintings were chosen as part of this beautiful remodel.
On the left is "Out of the Blue", a 48" x 72" mixed media on canvas, and two of my framed original paintings to the right.

The remodel is now expanding to the dining room, where the perfect pairing of colors and materials complement a new painting.

Whether it's painting in the studio or out on the patio, I love the flexibility in my new studio. These are a few of my newest available paintings...
"River Anomaly", 36" x 48" mixed media on canvas

Frank's Pond Revisited, 36" x 60" mixed media on canvas

The two paintings above are in my Bay series, a popular mixed media collection that I continue to paint.

Art of Healing
My painting "Secret Garden" purchased by
Sutter Health in Roseville, CA

For many years, I have had the pleasure of working with Grigio Art Consulting in Sacramento, CA for the placement of my art in many healthcare organizations throughout California. Recently, their client Kaiser Permanente commissioned me to do a painting for one of their facilities. I am honored to have my art play an important part in healing.

Wishing you good health in the road ahead.
