Dear Corpus Christi Parents,
The Archdiocese of Mobile has joined with arch/dioceses throughout the country to participate in the third-annual #iGiveCatholic Giving Day. We will celebrate this day of Catholic giving on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, also known as #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday is a day when individuals around the world come together with the goal to celebrate generosity and to give to their charities of choice.
Corpus Christi Catholic School believes in the generosity of Catholics in our archdiocese and we are excited to be participating in this event. This year, #iGiveCatholic is being celebrated by 17 Catholic arch/dioceses across the country with the goal to deliver $3.5 million to our Catholic organizations in a 24-hour period. We wish to do our part to raise money for our school while joining Catholics throughout the country in the call to share our blessings with the Church and those the Church helps and supports in our communities.
The purpose of the school's campaign is to allow us to continue to provide high quality education while keeping our tuition rates affordable.
We are blessed to have a steady enrollment of nearly 500 students and facilities that can accommodate our students. Furthermore, we work to provide and to utilize current technology in everything that we do. However, the costs associated with educating our students, investing in technology and maintaining our facilities are substantial. Our goal is to raise funds to create a buffer in the school's coffers.
The money raised during the #iGiveCatholic campaign will be used to support the school's annual fund. Specific allocations for the funds raised during #GivingTuesday include purchasing additional iPads and facility upgrades for the school.
How does this all work?
#iGiveCatholic is an online platform for all participating parishes, schools, and ministries who are part of the campaign. All donations will be processed through the website iGiveCatholic.org. Anyone can donate on Tuesday, November 28th from midnight until 11:59 pm. Additionally, for anyone who may not have access to the website on #GivingTuesday, donations may be scheduled in advance between Friday, November 10, and Sunday, November 26, at iGiveCatholic.org. All advanced gifts will be credited to the participating organization during the giving day. Click HERE to make your donation today.
