Printing Open Textbooks
by Mandi Goodsett, Performing Arts & Humanities Librarian, OER & Copyright Advisor
Are you a faculty member using an open textbook that you would like to be available in print in the library’s Textbook Center? Please reach out to your subject librarian to make this request. Keep in mind that open textbooks may have dynamic content that is not possible to replicate in a printed copy. In addition, any updates to the open textbook will not be reflected in previously printed copies.
Contactless Pickup is Being Discontinued
by Donna Stewart, Web Specialist
The MS Library has discontinued Contactless Pickup, which initially began as a service during the 2020 fall semester to provide a safe, convenient method of retrieving library materials during the COVID pandemic. It was a popular and successful program: we provided nearly 1,000 requested materials via the contactless shelving in the Rhodes Tower lobby.

As the campus landscape and pandemic response has evolved, we have observed a dramatic reduction in requests for the contactless pickup option. Due to this decline in use, the MS Library has discontinued this service effective Friday, October 14, 2022 so that we may redirect our limited resources to more crucial efforts. We look forward to greeting you in person!
