The word "frumpy" has come up in conversation more times than I want to recall, however there are a few ways you can avoid that look when deciding on changing your wardrobe.
I think back on how my grandmother looked to me when she was in her 60's, & all I can say about that is ," it's not the look that I want".
At 60, most of us
are
grandmothers, but we don't want to recreate the look they had. We want our own look that defines our style & makes us feel comfortable.
Leggings are a great way to start but remember... leggings are NOT pants. We need to cover up a bit to make it work well & longer tunics & layers will do that. Even if you have to wear your "sensible" shoes, the rest of you can be stylish. We don't mean mini skirts or skin tight tops.
Mostly, it's about your comfort level & your confidence in wearing something a bit more stylish. Think outside the box & take time when choosing your clothes. Ask a good friend to tag-a-long with you & let her guide you in your decision. Buying "online" doesn't give you the chance to try on your choices & just because it looks good on the model doesn't mean it will look good on you!
