SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Good news for the Johnson Campus:
Our Community Engagement and Safety meetings have included representatives of the NOPD. We are thankful to Commander Welsh and Lieutenant Gillard for participating or sending their representatives to the meetings we recently held and for listening to our concerns. NOPD has been very responsive to our needs of communications and support. We are happy to announce that Officer Thompson has been appointed as a new School Resource Officer. Officer Thompson has worked in the Pigeon town area for many years and knows it very well. He will have a base at our Johnson Campus, so say hi when you see him. A special thank you to Lycée parents and community members who are assisting in these efforts.

GENERAL INFO
ENRICHMENT

Electric Girls is over at both campuses. Patton’s 2nd grade activity, Philosophy Kids ended this week on Monday and Tuesday and will not resume until the spring.  
Currently all activities will extend through the last week before winter break due to make ups, except coding. 

There will be no homework centers at either campus the week of December 16-20.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Thank you for all parents who filled out the Lunch Application for the 2019-2020 school year. Accurate data regarding our demographics is essential for the work we do, especially in the area of grants and fundraising and to receive accurate funding from the LDOE to better serve our students.   Is also the expectation of the Louisiana Department of Education that we provide accurate information. If you have not yet, please, FILL OUT THE LUNCH APPLICATION . Instructions and link to application found HERE . It will take 1-5 minutes of your time and it will be a great help to our school. Incarnate Word Early & Preschool Headstart Toy Drive!

Celebrate the season with holiday cheer through giving! Lycée has a special relationship with the Incarnate Word Early & Preschool Headstart. We have participated through the years in a toy drive for the center.  Between now and Thursday, December 19th , we are collecting NEW , unwrapped toys for 40 children ages 4-5 years old to give to our friends at Incarnate Word Early & Preschool Headstart. Any age appropriate toys and games/educational toys and games. We do not allow any toys that resemble weapons, like toy guns, nerf guns, etc.  Please bring toys to either campus and place in the large wrapped box near the front office. Thank you in advance for your participation!
