It will take 1 to 5 minutes of your time and will be a vital help our school. If you need assistance filling out the application, please reach out to Cristina Sanchez at csanchez1@lfno.org Merci!
PERSONNEL NEWS:
Our Chief Operating Officer, Karianne Chassee, recently announced that she will be leaving her position to join EdOps, and education consulting organization based out of D.C. This was an extremely difficult decision for her as she has grown with Lycée over the last 5 years and loves the Lycée team, mission, and exciting future! Ultimately, she decided to take on this new opportunity to be able to work from home and spend more time with her family. Her last day with Lycée will be Friday, January 18th . Karianne looks forward to staying in touch and partnering with Lycée in the future!

We congratulate Karianne on this new professional opportunity and express our gratitude for the strong vision and inspired leadership that was instrumental in growing our organization. Please join me in wishing Karianne all the best in her personal and professional pursuits. Transition efforts are already in place. The link to the application for a Director of Human Resources position can be found in the Careers page of our website.

Pickup and Drop off Reminders
This is a reminder to be patient and cautious during pickup and drop-off times. Please follow all traffic and parking ordinances, and above all, be courteous to neighbors by allowing them easy access to and from their homes and avoid blocking driveways. During morning and afternoon carpool all vehicles must travel lakebound on Nashville turning left on Constance onto the parking lot/playground. Coming off Magazine onto Eleanor or Nashville and turning right onto Constance is not permitted. Cutting the carpool line is extremely inconsiderate of those who've been patiently waiting entry onto the school campus. To review our pickup and drop-off procedures, select the following LINK

Safety & Security Updates & Reminders
Part of Monroe St. is coned off at the street (not the sidewalk) and we ask for your support by parking outside the cones, not the sidewalk or grass. Managing vehicle traffic/parking on the soft ground will help us minimize the S&WB leak on Monroe St. and will prevent clogging the catch basin near the front office walkway. Please know we are working diligently with S&WB to find a permanent solution to our unwelcome “moat”.

The school side of Monroe St. is a passenger and bus zone, which means:
  1. Monroe St. is a one way street from Cohn to Hickory Streets between the hours of 7 am - 9 am and 2 pm - 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
  2. The barricade at the Monroe & Hickory St. intersection is to prevent vehicles entering the wrong way during drop off and pick up, please never drive around it.
  3. Parking on the school side of Monroe St is 15 minutes at all times, all day, all week.
  4. Long term parking is across the street on the opposite side or residential side of Monroe St. Please park as far off the roadway as possible to allow for school bus traffic.
  5. During rainy days do not pull your vehicle onto any of the walkways. Remain on the roadway of Monroe St.

School zone safety starts with YOU! Louisiana School Zone LAWS:

- Put down your CELL PHONE - RS 32:300.8
-Drive 20 mph or slower - Code 1956, ss 38-73
-Stop for school buses - Code 1956, ss 38-102

Be alert for children coming from any direction!

Many thanks to families for cooperating with the traffic plan, carpool, and parking expectations . These procedures keep everyone safe on the streets.
