Dear Parents/Guardians,

Thank you to all those who came out and joined us at the board meeting on Monday evening. This administration is committed to champion our students, is unwavering in the effort and desire to effectively address concerns, and is resolute in the goal of satisfying the needs of our community. The conversation we had on Monday focused on two primary areas: communications and behavioral concerns.

Communications : In the campus specific section of this bulletin, you will find the names and email addresses of staff members you may contact to address specific concerns. Please remember you may always reach out to campus principals whenever needed. The Communication Survey l inked here is designed to give us feedback on the efficacy of Etre à la Page as a communication tool, and provides you with an open ended platform to add your suggestions for improving communications. We value your input and appreciate you for taking time to fill it out, please fill it out before Wednesday, December 12th at 12:00 PM noon.

Behavior : We conducted our planned behavior concern meeting on Wednesday (Johnson Campus) and addressed a variety of concerns, including those brought to our attention on Monday. We are creating more aligned and consistent policies and procedures in support of students. While we will continue to rely on restorative practices to handle behavioral issues, as best practices suggest, we will tackle a revisit of our behavioral policies to be more prescriptive on specific infractions and related consequences, so that parents are informed while, at the same time, protecting student privacy. We encourage parents to promptly report issues as they arise, and avoid sharing exclusively on social media.

Please remember, communication is a two-way street: promptly reach out to us should anything be of concern. If you reach out via email to a staff member and a response is not provided promptly, especially if urgent, please feel free to copy campus principals or me, depending on the concern.

Thank you for being an engaged member of our community and for assisting us in striving for excellence.

Campus Visitors
We value family and community engagement in our school. For the safety of all students, visitors are asked to check in the front office. Please be prepared to show a photo ID to our office staff.
#Kindness Campaign
The Patton campus has launched its random acts of kindness campaign. Kindness promotes empathy and compassion which, in turn, leads to a sense of interconnectedness with others. Each student was given the challenge to go into the world and complete 3 random acts of kindness. This campaign will continue from now until the end of January through our counseling program, class game time during recess, and principal check-ins with students. Encourage your child to accept the “Kindness Challenge.”
