Dear Families,

As you may know, a few days ago the CDC updated its guidelines for quarantine protocols. The Louisiana Department of Health and Louisiana Department of Education have aligned with this most recent guidance, and are in support of the updated recommendations. The LDOE is working to produce new information, guidance and flowcharts for schools, which will be released shortly. Lycée will adopt the new guidance as soon as it becomes available.
Before new quarantine protocols are released, please refer to the ‘decision tree” to understand how Lycée makes its strict and consistent isolation and quarantine decisions. As shown on the chart, there is a different decision protocol for symptomatic and asymptomatic cases.

We strongly invite you to reach out to our school administrators and nurses when it comes to COVID related concerns: making assumptions or reading unverified social media narratives is detrimental at a time when transparency and clarity are essential to our physical and mental health. Please reach out to Nurse Pam at the Patton Campus or Nurse Keli at the Johnson Campus for any questions or concerns you may have.

We are fully committed to mitigate the spread of the virus. While schools have not been found to be super-spreaders, our vigilance remains heightened. A reminder that our COVID dashboard is updated weekly.

Carpool Reminder
This is a reminder to be patient and cautious during morning and afternoon carpool. Please follow all traffic and parking ordinances, and above all, be courteous to neighbors by allowing them easy access to and from their homes and avoid blocking driveways. During carpool, all cars should move to either side of the street to allow other cars to pass on Constance Street. We all have a responsibility to keep our children and each other safe.
