SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dear Families,

Good news for our avid readers! It is always exciting to receive a grant, a gift or a donation that help support our school’s growth. This week we received really good news from the French Embassy. Some of our students’ artwork was submitted to participate in a drawing contest open to all immersion schools in the United States. The quality of our students work, under the expert guidance of Stacey Stanfill, gifted art teacher, won us 300 books for the Johnson library. We could not be more proud of our teacher and student artists and of our growing library! Bonne lecture!

We also want to thank Lycée Français of New York for the donation of 18 iPads during their recent visit and service learning exchange with our students. What great partners in education!

Another less tangible but equally important gift was to share with Audubon Charter School a night of celebration honoring our students receiving their official DELF diplomas. Over 200 students between the two schools received their coveted honor, a testament to their growth in language acquisition and to the success of French immersion education in New Orleans. Thank you to the French Consulate and CODOFIL for attending the event. To all, Bravo et félicitations !!
