EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT SERVICES
EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT SERVICES (ESS) CAFE

  • WHEN: Wednesday, September 4
  • TIME: 5:00 - 6:00PM
  • WHERE: Johnson Resto - 1800 Monroe St.

The Exceptional Student Services (ESS) Department invites all Lycée families to attend an ESS Cafe to learn more about our team, goals for the 19-20 school year and systems and processes. This will include an overview of the Response to Intervention process, Special Education programming and processes, 504 plans, English as a Second Language and Gifted and Talented screening procedures. The cafe will conclude with a Q&A session.
SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVISORY COUNCIL

LFNO has the opportunity to establish a Special Education Advisory Council through the newly passed Act 274. The Council is a group of LNFO stakeholders, including teachers, administrators and families, who seek to provide advice and feedback regarding special education policies, procedures, and resources and engage in community outreach activities to increase special education knowledge and support. The council will meet at least once per trimester, with the first meeting held in November.

We are seeking 4 - 6 LFNO parents/families to join the Council, ideally balanced between both campuses. As per Act 274, family membership extends to parents or legal guardians of enrolled students with an exceptionality, other than gifted and talented. Complete this form by Monday, September 9 to indicate your interest in joining the Council. Please keep your responses under 150 words. E-mail Mandi Lehnherr, Director of Exceptional Student Services, at [email protected] with questions.

EXTENDED DAY PROGRAMS
UPDATED AFTERCARE DROP-IN PROCEDURES

Drop-in costs for aftercare are $13 per day, per child. Parents can pay with cash, check, or credit card. Please email [email protected] with any questions about the new drop-in payment policy.
