Originally born in Wisconsin, I lived in several different states as a child, which fostered a love of new places and people. I came to New Orleans in 2009 as a special education teacher and fell in love with the city, but took a brief leave to learn more about what education looked like across the globe. I moved to Budapest, Hungary to work at the British International School in Learning Support, and engaged in short-term teacher development and support assignments in Bangladesh, Slovakia and Malaysia. As many people do, I learned what it meant to miss New Orleans, so I moved back in 2015 to continue my work within special education, instructional design and teacher coaching. I am so excited to be part of the Lycee team to ensure that all students have the opportunity and access to become inspired, lifelong learners.

Students from the Visual Art/ Talent Program are exhibiting their artwork this weekend at the New Orleans Museum of Art for their annual spring event called Art in Bloom. The exhibit is open March 15-18th during museum hours.

Congratulations to our 6th grade team for making it to the Final Four and taking home 3rd place in Louisiana Scholastic Chess League Tournament!
The next BIG tournament is the Louisiana Scholastic Chess Championship taking place in Baton Rouge on April 21st. Good lucky everyone!

Dads Club has our next social gathering at the Urban South Brewery (1645 Tchoupitoulas St) on
Wednesday, March 21st starting at 7pm.
We will open a tab and hatch plans for our annual Bingo Night. We will need prizes to give the winners, in the past we've had power tools, gift certificates, bottles of booze, Pelican's tickets, and that sort of thing, so if you are able to donate something we'd appreciate it. Bingo will be on April 13th this year and is always well attended and a favorite of many families.

Join us for Lycee Laser Tag Night at Laser Tag of Metairie. Let the kids go crazy with unlimited laser tag and come support La Liasion, to help support our school. Last year's event was very popular for kids and parents in the Fall Semester and, we look forward to doing it again this year in the Spring!
