Dear Lycée Parent / Guardian,

I am very pleased to announce that planning is well underway to provide bus transportation to all Lycée families beginning next academic year. The current planning involves establishing pick up points strategically placed throughout the city, much the same way our West Bank bus route operates. Under review is the demographic data of our families to determine the areas of the city with greatest need.

Your Lycée Transportation Team is also working closely with the New Orleans Health Department's Safe Routes to School program. The study strives to improve student safety in the blocks surrounding our school campuses. Next week, all Lycée families will receive an email asking that you complete a survey about getting your children to and from school each day. The same survey will ask your intentions relative to using bus transportation next year. The results of the survey will help in many ways to plan for the safety of our students. Please respond to the survey as soon as conveniently possible.

Warm regards,

Keith Bartlett
Principal
