’Twas the day before Gaiety, and all through the city, not a queer creature was stirring… except me, running on airplane pretzels, adrenaline, and pure holiday delirium as we hurtle into one of my favorite nights of the year at Davies Symphony Hall. But before we talk about tomorrow’s hometown extravaganza, I simply must reflect on the absolute magic we conjured across the pond.
GAIETY IN THE U.K.:
A FAIRYTALE IN FROSTING AND LEATHER
Returning to The Glasshouse in Gateshead felt like stepping back into a dream I wasn’t quite finished having. The audiences, the musicians, the overwhelming warmth- my heart is still thawing out from all the love. And then came Liverpool… my very first time performing in that iconic city, and ghouls, I swear to you: I felt like a Beatle.
If only John, Paul, George, and Ringo had worn more sequins and shown more leg.
I’ll be sharing a gorgeous collection of photos from our Royal Liverpool Philharmonic premiere below of A Christmas Gaiety, and I’m absolutely gagged by how breathtaking the night looks through Gareth Jones’ lens. Truly one of the most magical, joy-soaked, camp-tastical nights of my year.
Endless love to my brilliant conductor and co-creator Edwin Outwater, and to the outstanding cast who lit that hall on fire in the best possible way: Kyran Thrax, Teddy Bryce, Ginger Johnson, Le Gateau Chocolat, Kerry Ellis, Baga Chipz, and the glorious Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, who made every moment shimmer. Huge thanks to Tabitha & Amy from Polyarts UK for producing such an epic, unstoppable, holly-jolly spectacle.
GAIETY RETURNS HOME — SAN FRANCISCO TOMORROW NIGHT!
Now… home.
Tomorrow evening, Holiday Gaiety explodes back into Davies Symphony Hall, and San Francisco, my love, there are just a few tickets left. Consider this your glitter-covered nudge from Mother Christ: grab them before they vanish like the last trick at a queer holiday party.
This year’s homecoming lineup is overflowing with brilliance: Adore Delano, Sasha Allen, Sapphira Cristal, Evan Mills, Sister Roma, Nika Printz, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, and of course the fabulous San Francisco Symphony under the masterful baton of Edwin Outwater.
And I’ll be there too, terrorizing the stage with cheer. It’s going to be another unforgettable, deliciously chaotic, fabulously festive affair.

CAROL DAY IN SAN FRANCISCO — THIS SUNDAY
As if that weren’t enough, San Francisco is about to celebrate something truly special: it's a Lesbian Christmas as Carol Day returns this Sunday, honoring Todd Haynes’ masterpiece and the undying lesbian yearning that built this city.
The SF Chronicle did a lovely write-up about it, and yes, Cate Blanchett is invited (see vid below and Cate, please call me). so don’t miss this gorgeous annual tradition celebrating queer cinema, community, and emotional devastation in beige gloves.

FIRST SHOW OF 2026:
DRAG ACADEMY AT STANFORD LIVE
My first show of 2026 is something delightfully different: I’ll be transforming into Professor Peaches Christ for Drag Academy, and joined by lead instructors BeBe Sweetbriar & Fauxnique for an evening at Stanford Live that blends performance, storytelling, and an educational deep-dive into queer drag history and culture. Students from the talented Stanford Drag Troupe will be performing with us onstage!
Yes, it’s academic.
Yes, it’s unhinged.
Yes, your professor will absolutely be wearing too much eyeliner.

IDOL WORSHIP 2026 — U.S. DATES NOW ON SALE
In my last newsletter I teased the enormous 2026 Idol Worship tour with the legendary Mink Stole, and I’m thrilled to report that American dates are now officially on sale.
This show celebrates Mink’s extraordinary career, our two decades of friendship and mischief, and the deliciously chaotic bond that only a cult filmmaker and a John Waters icon can achieve.
Early audiences abroad have been so enthusiastic that I cannot stress this enough: grab tickets early. Rochester, Toronto, Chicago, Columbus, Madison, Denver- get ready for us.

MIDNIGHT MASS —
A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET EPISODE OUT NOW
And lastly: on the Midnight Mass Podcast, Michael Varrati and I have finally confronted one of the most crucial films of my entire horror upbringing, A Nightmare on Elm Street, joined by our dear friend Darren Stein.
It’s personal, it’s passionate, it’s packed with queer subtext and razor-gloved appreciation. If you love horror, or if Freddy ever visited you in your dreams in a way you enjoyed, this is the episode for you.
Thank you, my beloved children of the popcorn, for being the beating heart of this strange, sparkly Christ "empire". Thank you for showing up, for supporting queer art, and for choosing to live deliciously.
Fiercely Yours,
Peaches Christ
