ABOUT $UICIDEBOY$:
$uicideboy$ dig light out of the deepest corners of darkness, addiction, hopelessness, and pain. The New Orleans-bred duo of cousins—Scott Arcenaux, Jr. a.k.a. $crim and Aristos Petrou a.k.a. Ruby da Cherry—translate a fight against demons, both seen and unseen, into a clever, caustic, and corrosively catchy apocalyptic vision of hip-hop pierced with punk intensity and laced with Southern flows. The world was first introduced to $uicideboy$ in 2014 after initially veering down different paths. Ruby dabbled in punk rock, influenced by the Misfits, Minor Threat, and Leftover Crack. Meanwhile, Scrim was a DJ and songwriter.
Since joining forces, they have released numerous projects and played hundreds of sold-out shows, accumulating billions of streams and earning multiple RIAA certifications, including the platinum “…And To Those I Love, Thanks For Sticking Around” and gold “Carrollton,” “2nd Hand,” “Runnin’ Thru The 7th With My Woadies,” “Paris,” and “Kill Yourself (Part III).” In addition to their critical-acclaim from Billboard, XXL, Alternative Press, Pigeons and Planes, Hypebeast, Revolver, $uicideboy$ have built their label, G59 Records, into a bastion of independent talent home to acclaimed talent including Night Lovell, Shakewell, Germ and Ramirez.
In 2022, their unique fusion of punk and rap propelled them to the Top 30 most-streamed artists across all genres and Top 100 of the most-streamed artists of all-time, amassing over 15 Billion career streams. Their latest album and third official full-length Sing Me A Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation marked their 3rd consecutive LP to debut in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200. Since 2019, they have also embarked on the Grey Day Tour, a highly-successful concert series that brings together the hottest names in hip-hop, punk, and metal, captivating sold-out audiences in arenas and amphitheaters across the United States and Europe.
In 2023, the $uicideboy$ will kick off another Grey Day Tour on August 25th, following their top-billed performance spot at the Coachella Music Festival, special guest spot at the Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash, and later this summer, they are set to perform at Kid Cudi’s 2nd annual Moon Man’s Landing festival in Cleveland, OH. This year, they have treated fans to a series of EPs titled the Yin Yang Tapes, consisting of four parts named after the seasons: spring, summer, winter and fall. Additionally, they collaborated with their labelmate Shakewell on a joint project called Shameless $uicide.
