Dear Uplift Community,

One recurring topic Uplift clinicians talk about with the children and families we work with is the importance of self-care. We practice breathing exercises and meditation in grief support groups and encourage kids and caregivers to take time to check in with themselves to determine what they need to feel their best.

And we practice what we preach. Uplift Center for Grieving Children will be closed Friday, August 28th through Monday, September 7th to allow the staff much needed time to focus on our mental and physical health and to practice self-care. We know that the grief support we provide to children and families this fall will look differently, and this break will allow us to be our best when we return.

We will continue to answer calls and texts to the Philly HopeLine at 1-833-PHL-HOPE
(1-833-745-4673) Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Messages left after hours will be returned the next day. Calls will also be answered from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on our main line, 267-437-3123.

Our website, www.upliftphilly.org, is always available, including #UpliftAtHome resources, the Support for the Helpers webinar series, and more information about

We have a lot happening this year, and I can't wait to share it all with you when we return in September. As always, thank you for your continued support of Uplift's mission.
Please remember to take care of yourself!
