"Knowing and Sharing the Joy of Salvation through Jesus Christ"

FCA Ministry Update

Thank you to the members that brought snacks to give to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club meeting at Bluffton high school this Wednesday. Here is the invitation to our Thanksgiving Eve service that each student received with their snack bag.

I hope that you will consider coming to ILC tomorrow (Tuesday, November 18) at 10am to help pack the snack bags.

Please let Pastor Andy know if you want to attend the club meeting this Wednesday at 8:15am at Bluffton High School to distribute the snack bags.

Comfort Dog Ministry Updates

Zoara and all LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs Bring Comfort to Many!

The ILC Comfort Dog Ministry, made up of twenty-three ILC members, has been an incredible blessing to everyone who serves on our team. Here are some amazing facts!

  • Zoara and our ILC Team made 296 visits over the course of the last year!
  • Zoara made 26 crisis visits on deployments outside of our community. Our team was deployed five times over the past year. Six different handlers and one ministry partner were involved in the deployments.
  • Our team also made five local crisis visits in our own community. These visits were in response to suicide, unexpected sudden deaths, grief, counseling and a memorial service.

The Comfort Dog Ministry at ILC is fully funded by your generous donations. These visits would not be possible without your support. Thank you! It's always amazing to see how many people we encounter and are blessed to be able to share the love of Jesus.

Join us for Commitment Sunday!

We hope that you will join us on Sunday, December 14 as we Worship together with one service at 10am. We will dedicate our Ministry Expansion Campaign Discipleship Commitments to the Lord. We will then gather together for a Voters' Meeting and light meal after the service in the Fellowship Hall.

Update from Pastor Kevin

Greetings Church Family.

We had another informative week with three things to note.

  1. I am scheduled for a full body PET scan on Tuesday to check for any additional spots in my body. We will receive the results a few days later.
  2. An MRI last week revealed new spots of growth to my current meningioma tumors in the heard. Although this was disappointing news, the doctors have scheduled me for radiation on December 1st and we are grateful to take action amidst all the waiting.
  3. More waiting is required regarding the results of my hip biopsy, which has been sent to Mayo Clinic. We hope to receive these in a couple of weeks.

We trust that God is in the details and will give us strength and patience. We thank God and we thank you for your continued support and generosity toward us.

Pastor Kevin & Holly
