Community Connections

PIL Shines in the ’Tis the Season Spectacular Holiday Parade!

Partners In Learning had a wonderful time participating in the ’Tis the Season Spectacular Holiday Parade! Thanks to the generous sponsorship from F & M Bank, our float helped us share holiday cheer and celebrate the strong community that supports our mission.

It was a joyful day filled with smiles, teamwork, and togetherness — a perfect reminder of what makes our community so special.

PIL Professional Tip of the Month

Parenting/Teacher Tip: Create “Novelty Moments” With Toys

Children don’t always need new toys — sometimes they just need toys to feel new. Rotate toys every few weeks, place them in different baskets, or introduce them in a new way (like a “treasure box” reveal). A little novelty sparks curiosity, boosts attention, and encourages more meaningful play! By: Norma Honeycutt, M.Ed. Executive Director, Parent Educator

Employee Partner of the Month

This month we celebrate Pam Ingram. In her role as a PIL Environmental Service Technician, Pam values the independence the position allows. She is naturally motivated, self-driven, hardworking, and takes great pride in managing her responsibilities with consistency and care.

We celebrate Pam for her solid work ethic, servant heart, and the intention she puts into every detail. She helps make Partners In Learning a safe, welcoming, and well-kept place where children and families can grow and thrive. We are grateful for her steady leadership, humility, and care. Blessing Box Heroes of the Month

We are excited to recognize Mark and Stacey Bradburn, Buzz (Pops) and Susan Curlett, and two of our amazing teachers, Krissy Weeks and Acquoni Snider, as our Volunteers of the Month!

Together, they built, installed, and stocked our beautiful new PIL Blessing Box in honor of Cash — ensuring it was completely filled with food and ready for families right away.

Their teamwork and generosity are deeply appreciated.
