A Non-Profit Community Impact Program

Success Story

Fall Family Fest was a Huge Success!

Events like this remind us what makes Partners In Learning so special — families, teachers, and community members coming together to celebrate growth, connection, and fun!

We had an incredible turnout, with around 1100 people joining us for a day filled with laughter, games, and togetherness. It’s always amazing to see relationships between families and staff grow even stronger outside the classroom.

Community Connections

Partners in Learning is so excited to share that we are a recipient of the Duke Energy Foundation grant, supporting upward mobility in our community. We are truly grateful for their support and are one step closer to our campaign goal!

PIL Professional Tip of the Month

Encouraging Receptive Language the Positive Way.

When a child chooses the wrong answer, resist the urge to say “No” or “That’s not right.” Instead, quietly guide them toward success — like covering the incorrect option and presenting the correct one again.

As demonstrated in this video, this simple strategy helps children stay confident, focused, and motivated. It sends the message:

“I believe you can get it!”

Positive error correction builds understanding without discouragement — a key step in developing strong receptive language and a love for learning!

Employee Partner of the Month

This month, we’re thrilled to celebrate a teacher whose compassion, dedication, and heart perfectly reflect what Partners In Learning is all about.

When asked what she loves most about working at PIL, she shared:

“I love that Partners serves children of all backgrounds and disabilities. No one is turned down for being ‘different.’”

Volunteer of the Month

Sandbox Superheroes Alert!

A HUGE shoutout to our three awesome volunteers who showed up bright and early on a chilly Saturday morning to help fill the sandboxes on all our playgrounds! Bringing the heavy equipment to make light work of some seriously heavy lifting! Thanks to their hard work, our little ones will have plenty of soft sand to dig, build, and play in.

We’re so grateful for volunteers who always step up to keep our spaces fun and safe for our kids. You make our community shine brighter than a freshly filled sandbox!
