Be an advocate for the rights of immigrants! Texas Impact invites you to participate in its "Courts & Ports" program and register for an on-site mission trip to the Rio Grande Valley in winter-early spring 2022. Participants will meet front-line responders on both sides of the international Texas-Mexico border and welcome asylum seekers. Fees apply.

January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month

Human trafficking, according to the U.S. Department of State, occurs everywhere and is "also known as trafficking in persons [and] includes both forced labor and sex trafficking." It is estimated that more than 24.9 million adults and children are subjected to human trafficking worldwide, including the U.S.

President Joe Biden has declared January 2022 as National Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Each U.S. President, for the last 11 years, has designated January as the month to raise awareness about human trafficking in the United Stated and educate the public on how to identify, report, and prevent its occurrence.
