02-01-21: Science & Innovation Save Lives: We're Recruiting!
As Covid-19 vaccines are being rolled out, we are reminded of the profound significance science has on our lives and our future. We are thrilled to be recruiting in this space.

Science wins! I’m happy to report that I had my first Covid-19 vaccine shot on Saturday at Rush in Chicago.

The occasion was both festive and emotional. When I walked into the Pavilion at Rush, I was overcome with feelings of optimism, hope, and excitement. The staff was amazing. I’ve never experienced a mass inoculation with such efficiency, kindness, and friendliness. True, this was my first time! I made a personalized thank you card (love collage) and got choked up when I showed it to the staff. Thankfully the after-effects of the shot were minimal (a little sore at the site of the injection).

Science will win again with our next placement of a Sr. Medical Writer and Associate Scientific Director. We expect the health care space to be robust in 2021. Get your resumes to us, especially if you have experience as a Medical Writer.

We’re also in need of a Director of Operations for an actuarial consulting firm. If you have experience at a senior level in marketing, operations, HR, IT, or management consulting, this leadership position could be a great fit. Check out the specs below.

In honor of vaccines being distributed, here is a poem that reminds us that hope and healing is on the way:

"Hope is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -"

Dr. Susan Kuczmarski, Ed.D., Leadership Expert and Co-Author, “Lifting People Up: The Power of Recognition”

Inclusiveness is a key leadership skill. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was exceptional at being inclusive. All leaders can learn from Dr. King’s use of positive leadership and expressions of hope. Leaders who nurture inclusiveness among employees often experience significant long-term benefits to commitment and productivity too.

Inclusiveness means to accept and recognize people’s differences, relish their perspectives, and establish a “village” where people feel valued and trusted. You can’t begin to make people feel included if you don’t know them. Inclusiveness means finding ways to connect with people. A leader must learn to manage tasks and job responsibilities and find ways to help people at the same time. Here are five leadership qualities that offer hope and positive support:
