As per Dr. Habegger’s July 31 email, if you haven’t yet completed the Important Health Survey, please do so: Please click on the appropriate following link (instructions for parents / instructions for staff) for full details on how to login to Skyward and complete the form for each student/family and/or if you are a CNG Staff member. Collecting these data will be vital for our advance planning, especially for those currently out of country so we can tailor our virtual learning depending on your time zone. For this reason we ask parents to complete this by Tuesday, August 18. Thank you.
We sent an email to All Parents on August 6 about the Importance of the Return of all School Materials to Campus. The form is here. If you have any questions, please contact your building administrative assistant.

HS High School
From the Principal’s Desk
What a great first week! Our teachers and students have jumped right into a school year like no other. Our areas of focus this year are based on three ideas; Connect, Evolve, and Thrive. We have spoken with the students and the teachers about these three ideas and I will explain a little below.

MS Middle School
CONGRATULATIONS- Team Middle School! We have accomplished what NO ONE has done by starting school virtually. I saw students, parents, support staff and teachers giving EVERYTHING that they had to team together to get our kids where they needed to go and to what they needed to learn from Bogota, Colombia to Seoul, Korea!

ES Elementary School
Dear ES Families,
Thank your support in a successful kickoff to the 2020-21 school year! Some thoughts from staff and students about the week: exciting, fun, weird, encouraging, easier than last time (Distance Learning), and loved 'seeing' friends and teachers! Let's keep it up as we move into week 2. Look for important information and links in this week's news.
Thank you for Your Partnership!

PS Primary School
Dear Primary School Parents!
Well, our first week is done and we can all breathe a sigh of relief. We want to thank you for your patience and understanding as everyone begins to connect with each other, build their classroom communities, and begin practicing what it means to be in school. It's going to be a slow and methodical process. It's also going to be stressful. So, we want to ask you a question. What are you doing to manage your stress?

Dear parents,
The Learning Center interventions for therapies and academic small group interventions will start this week. Each service provider has worked on building a schedule for all students gathering teachers' input, information from you as parents, and the availability of their schedule to find the best possible time to provide students with support. Please let us know how the LC intervention schedule is working for you and your children and reach out to the direct service provider or coordinator if we need to make any adjustments.

Counselors
Dear CNG community,
As you might know, we have partnered with CharacterStrong, which is an organization that provides training and resources for schools internationally, helping to develop character and social-emotional learning in a school setting. Over the next months, we, as a school will be focusing on the PurposeFull people traits, and highlighting one every month, starting in September. For now we invite you to think about the purpose, the why, the intention in your actions, and in your life. Reminding yourself about your reason for being will many times be that extra gasoline that you need in order to hold your head up high and keep going.
We invite you to try to find time with your family to talk about the “why”, and hopefully you will feel empowered to keep facing the challenges that might come in the future. Remember, first week of school is done. We made it.
“He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche
