The Village of Johnsburg recently completed its 7th Strategic Planning Meeting on Saturday, March 7th with participation from stakeholders throughout the community including volunteer committee members, local business owners, elected officials, and representatives from community organizations and other government entities.
Many thanks to Frances Glosson and Lauren Dainko for facilitating the session. The valuable input gathered will help guide the next steps in the Village’s planning efforts, including the development of focus groups and a community wide survey. These initiatives will assist in shaping priorities and planning for Johnsburg’s growth and direction over the next several years.
Sincere thanks to David and Christina DeMarco for not only participating in the session but also for providing an excellent breakfast for the participants. Their exciting new business, ArrivaDeli & Market, is preparing to open this Spring with fresh new offerings they are eager to share with the community. We also extend gratitude to Gary and Melissa Johnson from Catch 22 Tap & Grill for providing an excellent lunch during the meeting. We encourage you to make a point to dine at this new establishment, you won’t be disappointed.
Following the collection and review of feedback from the Strategic Planning Meeting, the findings will be presented for discussion and prioritization at an upcoming Committee of the Whole meeting, and action items will be developed to move the initiatives forward. These efforts aim to ensure the Village continues to honor its past while thoughtfully progressing growth for Johnsburg’s future.
We appreciate the continued collaboration and input from community partners, residents, businesses, and volunteers who help shape the direction of our Village. Thank you to everyone who has contributed their time, perspective, and commitment as we continue working together for the future of Johnsburg.
