Annual Business Registration

Please be advised that Chapter 7 of the Johnsburg Municipal Code requires all businesses operating within the Village; including those operating from a residence in conformance with Section 7.5 of the Johnsburg zoning ordinance , to register annually with the Village Clerk no later than April 30, 2026. To remain in compliance, a completed Business Registration Form and the annual registration fee of $25.00 must be submitted by the deadline. The registration fee is waived for not-for-profit organizations; however, supporting documentation must be provided with the application.

Johnsburg D12 PTO's Trivia Night

Trivia Night registration is NOW OPEN! Gather your friends and family to create a team and register to secure your table. This is one of Johnsburg's D12 popular adult only events. Doors open at 5:00p.m. on Saturday, April 25^th and questions will begin at 6:00p.m. inside the Johnsburg Community Club (2315 W Church St). Village Landscape Waste Pick-Up

The Village's residential refuse and recycling service begins April 1 and includes the removal of up to 8 bags or cans of landscape waste per week. For more information visit LRS - Johnsburg.

Open Burning of Landscape Waste

Landscape waste can only be burned during the months of April, May, October and November provided that setbacks and other requirements can be met. Recreational fires, ceremonial fires are exempt but may not be larger than 3’x3’x3’ and cannot contain leaves, grass or shrubbery clippings. McHenry Township Fire Protection District Siren Maintenance

Braniff Communications will be performing annual maintenance of the tornado sirens for all the Township jurisdiction between April 15^th – April 17^th. The only audible alarm will be a short “growl test”; while maintenance is being performed, you may hear a momentary sound from the siren as it begins an actual start-up. Once activated, it will then stop. There will be no prolonged sounding of the siren. The maintenance work is to make sure there is no damage and/or all parts are working properly. Questions can be directed to the McHenry Township Fire Protection District at (815) 385-0075.
