The Hummingbird
Oh, to be a hummingbird
To flutter across the sky
From one house to another
As the spring time days slip by.
He stops first at Sally and Jim's
Watching a fight between these two,
The off he goes to the Adam's house
To observe what these two do.
Then up the treetop to observe
The entire neighborhood from afar
Who's doing this and who's doing that?
Who is that with a new car?
If only this little creature could talk
What great stories he could tell.
Stories of love and joy and happiness
As well as stories that aren't so swell.
