⚛️ Jessie Manson Earns Second Place in Physical Science at the Synopsys Science Fair

Congratulations to 11th-grader Jessie Manson for earning second place in the Physical Science category at the Synopsys Science Fair! Her project focused on the fascinating and complex topic of non-linear iterative equations and turbulence, using advanced techniques like the Jacobian matrix determinant and eigenvalues at fixed points. Jessie aimed to make the chaotic behavior of these equations more understandable and predictable, contributing new insights into a previously difficult area of study.

Through independent research, Jessie gathered hundreds of data points and created graphs that resembled turbulent fluid maps, leading to a deeper understanding of the dynamic interplay between order and chaos.

Her next project will delve into applications of fluid dynamics, including how these equations can be used to model turbulence, potentially improving the safety of planes and other engineering systems. Aspiring to double major in applied mathematics and environmental engineering, we look forward to seeing where Jessie's journey in science takes her!

Also a big thank you to our Kehillah Parents Association (KPA) for providing delicious homemade sweet treats for our faculty this past Wednesday! Your thoughtful gesture added an extra touch of sweetness to our week 🍪💕
