WORSHIP AT 10:00 a.m.

Sixth Sunday of Easter

Open Hearts

Acts 16:9-15

We welcome as our preacher the Rev. Dr. Bob von Trebra. Ordained to ministry in 1996 while he was a member of First Congregational Church, Bob was called to Lyonsville Congregational UCC in Indian Head Park, Illinois, where he served for more than 19 years before returning to the Rocky Mountain Conference and interim pastoral positions in Salt Lake City, Loveland, Boise, and Englewood. When he finally retired in 2024, he returned to our congregation.

Special Music: Pick Up Choir

All voices are welcome to join! Meet in the sanctuary at 9:00 a.m. to rehearse a piece of music to sing during worship.

Children’s Activities: Childcare is available in the Faith Center for infants through kindergarten. Elementary children are invited to sit with Lianna at the front tables in the sanctuary for quiet activities and to enjoy our first summer worship together.

Coffee Hour: A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held in the Link following the worship service.

Click on Boulder Moms Demand Action for local events, Saturday, June 7.

Arts Camp Musical

Sunday 6/8 at 10:00 a.m. – Sanctuary and Online

After a formative week at Highlands Retreat Center, our children return to lead us in worship with a musical offering from the heart. This year’s production, Storms, tells the courageous story of children wondering whether they have the strength to face the storms of life. As they explore the Gospel story of Jesus calming the waves, they discover a deeper truth: no matter what rages around them, Jesus is in the boat with them. They remind us that just as Christ is present with us, we are called to be present for one another – steadfast companions through every storm.

Love Is Love – T-shirts and Sweatshirts Available

Order by 5/23/25 for Boulder Pride in June

The LGBTQIA+ and Allies Group has designed a shirt with the phrase Love Is Love on the front and the First Cong logo on the back. We wanted to have a shirt we can wear to Open and Affirming (ONA) Sunday, PRIDE, and other events showing people that First Cong is a safe place to worship for ALL of God’s children. We are not raising funds but are just providing a way to give testimony to God’s love. If you would like to order one, click here.
