Through My Lens

May 2019

We all look at life through our own lens

On this Mother's Day, I would like to acknowledge those new Mothers as well as to those who have been seasoned in the role of motherhood over time. This year, I would like to acknowledge those who have raised their children and now asking that question, just when do our children become our friends?
Wishing all of those who carry the name of Mother....a Happy Mother's Day.
                                                   Until Next Time....

Children/Friend

Our children will always be our children

But when will they become our friend?

When will we meet on common ground

Supporting each other as we can?

It seems I must listen and not give advice

Then they will also listen to me.

We will share ideas, our dreams and fears

Then we'll let each other - just be.

A parent/child relationship is a powerful bond

We know what they'll do, think or say.

We know each other so very well

And we can learn from each other each day.

So this valuable relationship we will cherish

And we'll work hard to know our child.

For bonded we are for all times

Our wild child who now is so mild.
