No One Can Serve Two Masters

Matthew 6:24 (CEB): No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be loyal to the one and have contempt for the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

Peace be with you. Stay safe. Stay strong. Take care of one another.

Help Lay the Foundation for the Next United Women in Faith Texas Legislative Event: Donate to the United Women in Faith Texas Legislative Event & Help Retire the 2022 Loan from Rio Texas Conference
The Texas United Methodist Women's Legislative Event (now the United Women in Faith Texas Legislative Event) has profoundly impacted the public policy work in which women of faith have engaged in over the past few years.

It's now time to begin planning for another year of important policy work on behalf of women, children, and youth here in Texas. But before we look ahead, we must complete our business from 2022.

The 2002 Texas UMW Legislative Event experienced unexpected costs during the pandemic. Specifically, In-person registrations for the January 2022 event were lower than anticipated due to the winter surge of the COVID-19 Omicron variant. The result: a $10,000 outstanding balance at the event hotel which was graciously covered by the Rio Texas Conference.

THE UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH TEXAS LEGISLATIVE EVENT NEEDS YOUR HELP! Will you make a donation of $20, $50, or $100 to help the United Women in Faith Texas Legislative Event balance its accounts and retire the loan form the Rio Texas Conference? Any amount -- small or large -- will help us repay that loan.
