WORSHIP AT 10:00 AM

SANCTUARY AND ONLINE

Mental Health Sunday Worship Service

As a WISE (Welcoming, Inviting, Supportive, and Encouraging) Congregation, First Congregational supports the Mental Health Ministry (MHM) in promoting education, reducing stigma, and encouraging intentional engagement with mental health. We all face challenges – whether depression, anxiety, addiction, or uncertainty. This year’s service will include two testimonies, one from a member who once contemplated suicide and found hope through therapy and medication, and another from a therapist who will share insights on loving one another and creating safe spaces for mental health conversations. Every story is unique, but open dialogue is essential for healing and growth within our community.

Coffee Hour: A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held in Plymouth Hall following

the worship service.

Children and Youth will start in Worship and leave for activities in the Heritage Room.

Going to the Boulder Rally on Saturday?

Need a sign? Stop by the church, if you like, between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. to pick up a handmade sign on your way over to the Library. Many have now been donated. After the Rally, restrooms at the church will be open from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m.. Enter through the west parking lot door.

Sunday, 6/29 – Brass Prelude at 9:45 a.m. and Worship at 10:00 a.m. Congregational Conversation at 11:30 a.m.

On this Sunday before the July 4th holiday, our worship is an extended prayer for our country. We welcome Mark Udall, former U.S. Senator from Colorado (2009-2015) as our preacher. In these days as our democracy is being challenged, this morning serves both as a confession of the ways we have fallen short of living our ideals and as a renewal of our aspirations and hope. Following Worship, former Senator Udall and former Representative David Skaggs will lead us in a Congregational Conversation.
