Fifth Sunday After Pentecost
Traveling Light
Luke 10:1-11, 16-20
As summer unfolds and the road stretches before us, Jesus' words remind us what truly matters for the journey. This Sunday, we’ll reflect on the story of Jesus sending the seventy – traveling light, carrying peace, and trusting in God’s quiet provision along the way. We’ll gather at the table to share communion, remembering that even when our hands feel empty, God fills them with life-giving bread. We’ll also lift up the activism and advocacy of our Social Justice Ministries and celebrate with cake during coffee hour. Thank you to Carol Green and Rebecca Flintoft for offering their gifts of music in our worship.
Childcare for little ones is available. School age children and youth are staying in worship this Sunday. There will be a table up front with quiet activities.

Summer Brunch Church is for Everyone!
Volunteers Needed for Weekend of July 19-20
| Help create July 20 Brunch Church – we urgently need cook-at-home volunteers and set up and cleanup folks! A favorite event in First Cong's summer schedule, Brunch Church brings us to Plymouth Hall to worship together around a meal of baked frittatas, coffee cake, and fruit. We need your help to make it happen by baking (easy recipes we provide), bringing a fruit bowl, arranging tables, chairs, and place settings, or cleaning up afterwards (under expert direction). Go now to our Sign-Up page to let us know how you want to help. | | | | |
