Dear Aristoi Katy Community, 

It was wonderful to meet so many of our parents at our orientations this week. We are grateful for your patience as we solidify our plans for the start of school. Although the majority of rooms are in the build back phase, we think it prudent to delay the start of the school for one week in order to ensure the best start to the school year for our students.  

• The first day of school for all Aristoi Campuses will be Monday, August 19, 2024. 

• The 2024/2025 Calendar has been modified and approved by our Board of Directors and TEA. In order to make up for five missed days in August, we have converted the four half days at the end of each semester to full days. Additionally, Oct 11, which was originally a work day for staff, is now an instructional day in which students will come to school. No other changes were made. Please see the revised 2024/2024 calendar by clicking here. 

• Kinder and First grade students will begin school on August 19 on the 11th street campus.

• Second - Fourth grade students will begin school on August 19 at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church on 5356 11th Street; the church is located a few blocks from the 11th street campus.

• All Logic and Rhetoric Students (5-12 grades) will begin school on August 19 on the Morton Road Campus.

• The Grammar School Meet the Teacher events will be held today, Aug 8, as scheduled in the Griffin Center.  

• The Meet the Griffin Event for the Logic and Rhetoric School (5-12 grades) is postponed to Friday, August 16, from 12-3 PM.  

Although we faced a significant challenge this summer, in the words of Charles Dickens, “We must meet reverses boldly, and not suffer them to frighten us...We must learn to act the play out. We must live misfortune down”. As I shared at the orientations, classical education equips our students (and ourselves) to face challenges with wisdom and courage that help form our characters. All of our faculty and staff are excited to begin our journey with our students on August 19, 2024 when we welcome them back to school.
