so that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1/1 SO YOU WANT TO BE A CHRISTIAN LEADER?
Happy New Year and God's best for you in it.
Many people want to be Christian leaders and they may see it only from the prominence that it may bring. IF your attitude is not from God's calling, from the willingness to serve, from your deep faith, it will not be a good trip.
You will be tested and shaken out. You become a big target for the devil. If you are not well fortified, it will hurt. You will be exposed to all sorts of people who have flirted with the devil in many ways. They open the doors of temptation and entry by the evil one into those around them. Some even pick you out as an ego target to enrich themselves.
Not that I have a bad opinion of Ministry. In fact, I love it. But do not enter it unaware. You step out, you will be a bigger target. I know of no one genuinely called by God who has not felt the experience of the cross upon them. They at times, are hanging there with Jesus.

Dear Father God,
May ministry not be a way of ego, but of humble service for those interested and may we always keep our leaders in the protection of prayer.
