Winter 2025

Our fiscal year ended September 30 - and it was truly record-breaking. Our legal team assisted 1,196 protective caregivers and children, the highest number we have ever served in a single fiscal year. While we continue to examine the factors driving this growing need, one truth is clear: we cannot meet this moment without the support of people like you. What matters most now is ensuring that every child and protective caregiver who requests assistance receives it. As the calendar year comes to a close, we are reaching out to ask for your help - can you make a final donation of 2025?

Adult siblings Chas and Kasey share their childhood story of hope at Heroes of Child Justice 2025.

WATCH: Heroes of Child Justice - Keynote Address

If you missed this year's Heroes of Child Justice event in Annapolis, you missed a wonderful heartfelt keynote. The speech is available to view in its entirety on our YouTube channel. We invite you to listen to siblings Chas and Kasey, two of our earliest child clients, who courageously reflected on their long family court experience and encouraged others to support the work that Child Justice does.

Congratulations to CJI Legal Director Paul Griffin

In its notification, the ABA emphasized the significance of Paul’s service:

“As we face so many challenges, your leadership is needed now more than ever to protect our justice system and to advance the rule of law… With your commitment, we will address issues of great importance to lawyers, our Association, and the public.”

The ABA Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence mobilizes the legal profession to increase access to justice for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
