NJ Attorney General Announces Initiative to Fight Discrimination in Real Estate Appraisals
New Jersey is cracking down on home appraisal discrimination against homeowners, buyers, and real estate agents based on their race or nationality, according to a new set of initiatives announced January 19 by Attorney General Matthew Platkin. The state Division on Civil Rights and the Division of Consumer Affairs developed the Home Appraisal Discrimination Initiative--designed to address inequities in home appraisals documented in New Jersey and the nation. Middlesex County: Construction on Downtown Park Likely to be Completed This Fall, City Says
The city is moving forward with plans to build a park downtown, creating a quiet, shady space where people can stroll after dining or taking in a show on George Street. The city has announced that construction on the park, which will be built on a 1.19-acre tract where the Wolfson Parking Deck once stood on Neilson Street, will likely begin in the spring. Read more.

Middlesex County: The Oldest Home Show in NJ is Returning to Edison
With interest rates expected to drop this year and New Jersey homes still as desirable as ever, the New Jersey Home & Garden Show will be a destination for current homeowners looking to remodel and potential homebuyers looking for ideas to flip dated real estate hitting the market. The 34th annual event will take place from Friday, February 23, through Sunday, February 25, at the New Jersey Convention Center in Edison. It runs from 3 to 8 pm Friday, 10 am to 7 pm Saturday, and 10 am to 5 pm Sunday. Read more.

Somerset County: Bridgewater Will Fix More than 40 Roads this Year. Are they in Your Neighborhood?
