The Morning Star Weekly Newsletter Vol 5, Edition 22 1/26/2021
Dear Morning Star Families and Friends,

Next week we will be celebrating National Catholic Schools Week, February 1st through the 6th. The theme this year is “Catholic Schools - Faith, Excellence, Service. Every day we will have activities that are fun, and faith filled to celebrate Catholic School’s Week. This year we will collect canned fruit for Catholic Charities. Please join us in the celebration!

Monday, students will focus on their community. A central aspect of Catholic education is learning the importance of service to others. When students take part in service activities, they demonstrate the values and faith gained through Catholic Education.

Tuesday, schools will celebrate students by planning enjoyable and meaningful activities and recognizing their accomplishments.

Wednesday is National Appreciation Day for Catholic schools. Students, families, educators, and other Catholic supporters are asked to communicate the value of Catholic education to government leaders.

Thursday, students will focus on faith, knowledge, and service. Catholic schools prepare children to use the God-given talents to their fullest.

Friday, schools will honor teachers and principals as well as administrators and staff who support them in their work and thank those who provide volunteer service. Teachers are the backbone of Catholic schools.

Saturday, we celebrate parents, guardians and other family members who play a vital role in Catholic education. Not only do they volunteer at the school, but they instill values and expectations of their faith and academic excellence in their children at home.

God Bless,
Elaine Shott, Principal
